Question #209

Question #209

Low volume wood supplier

Dear everyone, I am looking to find a supplier of low volume wooden furniture, with the end product suitable for children and to be used around the home. Can anyone help please? A carpenter could also work, although ideally someone with greater capacity would be preferable. No immediate type of wood important, although child and fire safety are the most important, followed by cost. Many many thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm working with people in a small workshop in Darlington and we have all the equipment to do what you are asking about. All are very experienced tradesmen and we have worked together for over five years. We all are very keen wood people and can turn our hands to a large range of projects, small and large. We have done quite a range of furniture, so I'm looking forward to meeting and having a natter to see how we can help each other !
I will be pleased to meet up and show you our workshop.
Best wishes, Steve

We have worked with a company by the name of TOPBRASS who I’m sure would be able to carry out this type of work for you.

They are basically manufactures of bespoke furniture / soft fittings etc for hotel fit outs.

I’ve visited their factory and they have very extensive CNC wood cutting & carpentry capability etc…

All set up for small batch bespoke designs and clearly understand H&S regs

They are based in Hartlepool https://www.topbrass.co/

If you would like an introduction please let me know.

Hello,

I’d highly recommend Plyable in Blyth for design and prototyping – mags@edablearchitecture.co.uk & tom@plyable.co.uk
Also consider Twoey in Cumbria, who manufacture for the education sector http://www.twoeytoys.com/
